Summer Elopement in the San Juan Mountains

This stunning mountain range is high in elevation with many distinct formations, making it the PERFECT backdrop for gorgeous wedding photos and a memorable elopement. Located in the southwestern part of the state, the San Juan Mountains have fewer crowds, beautiful blue lakes, opulent valleys, and spectacular waterfalls. No matter your level of adventure or what time of year you visit this area, the San Juan Mountains have something for everyone.

Taylor and Ben had a romantic sunset elopement at Molas Pass in the San Juan National Forest. Though it was a lovely summer day in July, there was still snow on the mountains. We took full advantage of the forest, valleys, and waterfalls nestled beneath the majestic San Juan's and started the day with a fairy-tale couples shoot before Taylor and Ben tied the knot. With their immediate family members in attendance, Taylor and Ben got married and enjoyed an intimate outdoor wedding reception at their rustic Airbnb cabin underneath the Ponderosa Pines.
